How quickly can you get out to me?

The type of job can affect the response time of a Locksmith due its urgency. However we here at Herne Bay Locks have an emergency response time of approx 30-60 minutes, where possible, and for non-emergency cases will always try to get out to you within 1-2 hours.

Can you gain access without needing to replace the lock?

In the majority of cases you can gain entry to a property without having to replace the lock. Most locks, including uPVC and wooden locks can be bypassed by picking or other non-destructive entry techniques with relative ease when carried out by an expert Locksmith. In some rare cases it may be necessary to replace the lock, but this will depend on the circumstances of the lock out and the lock itself, but we will always discuss this with you first before carrying out the job.

Will my new spare key start the engine as well as unlock the door?

All keys that we supply and program to your car will work as does the original key. It will unlock the doors and start the engine (also with working remote if specified).

Can you create me a key when all car keys are lost including the spare?

Yes, in most cases we can create you a new car key when no keys are present. There are a few cases where it may be difficult to create a working key the same day, This is dependent on your car, make, model and year as we would need to order a key in.

Will my lost or stolen key still work?

Any lost or stolen keys can be erased out of the system to ensure that it cannot be used again.

Will you have to damage my vehicle to gain entry?

No damage will be caused to the vehicle to gain access. We carry non invasive lock entry equipment to prevent this happening.
